This is what you can see when the sun is about to go down if you are at Hunnebostrand ( the west coast of Sweden).
I feel very lucky to live here, but so feel probably all where they now live, you live where you want to stay...otherwise you probably move to another place.
As it is bad weather today, as it has been most of the week i rather looking at some photos that cheer me up then looking out, so this is my photo this friday morning.
Excellent shot under difficult lighting conditions. Your camera settings were perfect for capturing the ’starburst’ and its reflection, while still allowing some good detail in the foreground. Interesting how the eye wants to follow the leading lines of the pier, but also look at the sun.I am wondering whether cropping in from the left side [ca. 1/4 to 1/3] might make this an even stronger image. In any event, kudos!
Thank you very much Stan for you most kind words, I thought of that too, but I thought that I took away too much of sun reflections in the water at the pier and too much of the dark clouds, many thanks for your comments about the picture.
I see your point. But, I think it is a matter of taste as to how much you crop out. A few inches would still leave all the key elements and reduce the ’negative space’. Hope I am not being overly analytical/critical. Cheers, Stan
no, I do not think you are, it is valuable with all kinds of criticism, otherwise you will not continue in what you do, thanks again for your comments.
Such scenic light over a scenic landscape. So lovely.
Thank you very much Gemma!, it is how it is here at the west coast :).
